COAL submits that we all can agree that the Media plays a critical role in researching, framing, reporting and generating discussion around the issues of greatest impact to the African American community, as well as how the community is viewed in general;
how well does the media perform? How does it handle the information and mis-information regarding our community? What is the role of blacks in media; what are their unique responsibilities, if any, to the black community and to themselves?
These are the questions we’d like to explore by hearing from respected members from our Community who are in Media. This is our focus for the October Coalition Power Breakfast.
