July 23rd – Supporting and Engaging Our Youth

there is a lot of discussion regarding crime and gun violence around the Chicagoland area. Due to this violence and attempts to understand its causes, one silver lining to arise is the increased focus on our youth; their care, support, engagement and a better understanding of and commitment to, our responsibility to create paths for our youth to have healthy lives and brighter futures.

This Saturday’s Breakfast will recognize initiatives supporting and engaging our youth; plans, activities and/or events targeted towards supporting our community’s youth, that are models for others, that the community can support and/or participate in, and importantly, are efforts that are ‘leading by example’.

COAL frames its Breakfasts as a conversation, an opportunity to exchange knowledge, ideas, insights and experiences, and to network, which, in turn, form the basis for building relationships, trust and increased capacity, that can be leveraged by individuals, groups and organizations, to the benefit of the black community.

Please join us for this timely and important conversation.
