We Must Vote! / March 4th Breakfast

The most impactful thing you can do to recognize Black History Month, to honor our forefathers and foremothers, to be respectful of our struggle, to express pride in what we’ve accomplished and to pave the way for our next generations,
is to vote.
And then to ensure that your family votes.
And then to ensure that your friends vote, even when doubtful.

The current Chicago mayoral race appears challenging to many, and for some can best be described as ‘a mess’…no doubt; causing some of our community to consider opting out of voting in this election.

But voting is our voice.
and voting in large numbers is our strength;

‘cause no matter who gets in, we will need our strength,
 to fight for what is needed to improve the lives of everyday Black people.
Vote.
