Election Results – 4.18.23 – All Votes Counted, Final Proclamation of Results to Be Certified by 4/25/23

All ballots in the Board’s possession have been processed and rejected or fully counted as of the evening of 4/18/23. The results:

This report represents the final count of votes (barring any emergency) for the April 4th Municipal Run-Off Election – the Board of Commissioners are scheduled to meet Tuesday, April 25th to certify the final Proclamation of Election Results, which serves as the Board’s final declaration of winners in the last election. If this Proclamation is moved up, we will communicate that immediately.

613,795 ballots were cast in Chicago for a 38.67% current citywide turnout of 1,587,153 registered voters.

161,592 total Vote By Mail ballots have been returned to the Board.
53,724 total additional Vote By Mail ballots were received since Mon, April 3.
13,668 additional Vote By Mail ballots were received on Wed, April 5.
15,230 additional Vote By Mail ballots were received on Thurs, April 6.
15,173 additional Vote By Mail ballots were received on Fri, April 7.
7,440 additional Vote By Mail ballots were received on Sat, April 8.
No mail delivery on Sun, April 9.
805 additional Vote By Mail ballots were received on Mon, April 10.
472 additional Vote By Mail ballots were received on Tues, April 11.
834 additional Vote By Mail ballots were received on Wed, April 12.
12 additional Vote By Mail ballots were received on Thurs, April 13.
57 additional Vote By Mail ballots were received on Fri, April 14.
3 Vote By Mail ballots were received on Sat, April 15.

4 Vote By Mail ballots were received on Mon, April 17.

26 Vote By Mail ballots were received on Tues, April 18.
