  1. Mr Swain, I just want to appeal to you to vote NO on this sugar tax. I personally rarely drink any pop, but I truly do not understand how this tax is going to help the health of our younger population, especially since if you are on the Link Card this tax does not apply to them and they can get buy as much as they want while the rest of us basically pay for their luxury or travel to other counties to buy their beverages. We are losing many families due to all the taxes that are being dumped on us. I am almost 70 yrs old and I cannot afford to retire as I cannot live on what social security pays. I have worked since I was 15 yrs old and I cannot stop working if I want to keep my home, pay my bills and eat. Thank you for letting me speak my peace.

  2. Mr Swain, your creedence in the Chicago Municiple ID card brings me pause. You and your coharts on the Chicago Board of Elections, along with Clerk Valencia, just did a prodigious disservice to the citizens of Chicago by allowing this so called ID card to be used as a form of identification to vote. Voter fraud is now accepted and encouraged in the City of Chicago.
